Turkey Cutlet Recipe
This easy turkey cutlet recipe is perfect to make when you are entertaining. The creamy mustard sauce that tops these simple pan fried turkey cutlets is so impressive your guests will think you spent hours in the kitchen, but the truth is that this meal can be on the table in less than 20 minutes. If you can't find turkey cutlets in your grocery store, buy boneless turkey breasts and pound them thin inside a sealed plastic food storage bag.
Turkey Cutlets With Mustard Cream Sauce
Ingredients:
- 6 turkey cutlets
- salt & pepper, to taste
- 3 Tblsp. extra virgin olive oil
- 1 shallot, finely chopped
- ½ tsp. minced garlic
- ¾ cup chicken broth
- ¼ cup heavy cream
- 1 Tblsp. grainy mustard
Directions:
Season both sides of turkey cutlets with salt and pepper. Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add 2 Tblsp. of extra virgin olive oil. Cook the cutlets, 2 minutes on each side and remove to a plate loosely covered with foil to keep warm.
To the same skillet, add 1 Tblsp. extra virgin olive oil and the shallot. Cook approximately 3 minutes. Add garlic and broth. Increase the heat slightly and cook until broth reduces by about half. Add the cream and mustard while whisking. Cook for about 2 minutes, until warmed through. Season with salt and pepper and pour over turkey cutlets on serving platter.
