Oriental Cole Slaw Recipe
The first time I tried this oriental cole slaw recipe at a party I had to have the recipe. It is light, refreshing and delicious. It is great as a unique alternative to classic cole slaw. This dish can be served with anything from hamburgers to steaks.
Oriental Cole Slaw
Ingredients:
- 1 16 oz. bag cole slaw mix
- 1 bunch green onions, chopped
- 1 pkg. oriental flavor Ramen noodles
- ½ cup slivered almonds
- ¾ cup unsalted sunflower seeds
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 1/3 cup extra virgin olive oil
- ¼ cup apple cider vinegar
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350°.
Mix cole slaw mix and green onions in a bowl and set aside. Crumble the Ramen noodles onto a cookie sheet, mix in the almonds and bake for 15 minutes or until golden brown. Add noodles and almonds to salad bowl. Add sunflower seeds. Combine the remaining ingredients with the seasoning packet from the Ramen noodles to make the dressing. Refrigerate salad and dressing separately until ready to serve. Add dressing and toss salad just before serving.
