How to Organize Baseball Caps NEW
by: Tracy

With a husband and young son of my own, both of whom love their baseball caps, I can relate with your need to organize them. Here are some suggestions that may help...

First, as with anything you are trying to organize, the first thing to do is declutter. Ask your husband and son to sort through their caps and discard any that they no longer want or wear.

If they have any caps that they no longer wear, but they want to keep for sentimental reasons, these should be stored properly and put away. Get a plastic storage tote with a lid in a size that will fit neatly into whatever available storage space you have. A shoebox sized tote works great to store caps and does not take up much space.

Explain to your boys that they can only keep as many hats as will fit into the storage bin. Once they have decided, label the bin and put it into its designated home.

Next, get them each their own hat rack. Decide which type will work best, based on the space that you have available to you. You might choose the type that hangs over the back of a bedroom or closet door, you might choose a wall-mounted version in either a horizontal or vertical position.

Whichever style you choose, put the racks in place and explain to your husband and son that they will need to make the effort to help you keep their hats organized. It will be very important for them to understand that you have set them up with the system, but they must maintain the system.

If your son is young, be sure you mount his hat rack at his level so he can easily get the hats he wants and then put them away when he is finished wearing them.

Hat Links NEW
by: Southern Belle

When my kids were babies, they had a set of brightly colored "C" shaped links to attach their toys to the stroller/high chair. The set included one extra large link.

As they got older, I made a chain of the links and hung it on the clothes rod in the closet by the extra large link. Now I hang their baseball caps on the links. They can see and easily access all the caps, but they are neatly stored out of the way.
