Omelette Recipe

Here is an omelette recipe you simply must try if you want to taste the fluffiest omelette you have ever made. The first time I heard about this recipe I was skeptical, but since the perfect omelette has always escaped me I thought I would give it a try. Let's just say that I will never make an omelette any other way!

Omelettes in a Bag

Ingredients:

  • 2 eggs per omelette
  • your favorite omelette meat, fully cooked and chopped
  • your favorite omelette veggies, chopped
  • your favorite omelette cheese, shredded

Directions:

Bring a pot of water to a rolling boil. Place two eggs, shredded cheese and any other ingredients that you like into a quart-sized Ziplock brand freezer bag. Seal the bag. Squeeze the bag gently to break up the eggs and mix them into the other ingredients. Drop the sealed bag into the boiling water for exactly 13 minutes. Carefully remove the bag from the water, open it up and carefully slide the your perfect omelette onto your plate.

These omelettes are also great for entertaining. Simply set up a "fillings bar" and let your guests choose their ingredients. Provide each guest with a Ziplock bag with their name written on it so everybody can identify their omelette when it is done.

* Because you drop these into boiling water it is recommended that you use the Ziplock brand freezer bag because it is strong enough to withstand the temperature of the boiling water.
