Breakfast Pizza Recipe

This breakfast pizza recipe is perfect when you are looking for something to accompany your eggs. Baked on flaky biscuits, this pizza delivers that bacon flavor you love in a very fancy way.

Breakfast Pizza

Ingredients:

  • 1 roll refrigerated biscuit dough
  • ½ lb. bacon, cooked until crisp
  • 2 Tblsp. butter
  • 2 Tblsp. flour
  • salt & pepper, to taste
  • 1½ cups milk
  • ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • ¼ cup green onions, sliced
  • ¼ cup red bell pepper, finely chopped

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray a 9 X 13 casserole dish with nonstick spray.

Lightly flour work surface and arrange biscuits into a rectangle so that they are touching each other. Using a rolling pin, roll biscuits into a 10 X 14 inch rectangle. Place in casserole dish and form into a crust with the excess coming up the sides of the dish.

In a saucepan, over medium heat, melt butter. Whisk in flour, salt and pepper until a smooth paste is formed. Gradually whisk in milk and cook until thickened. Stir in cheese until melted. Spread evenly over biscuit crust. Crumble the bacon and sprinkle over the top with the onions and bell pepper.

Bake for 20 minutes. Let cool slightly and remove from dish. Cut in half lengthwise. Cut each strip into triangles and serve.
