A Hot Mess!

My in-laws called one afternoon to say they were on the way over to our house to drop off some things they had bought for our son.

With only about 15 minutes to get everything organized, I was in a mad rush stuffing things wherever they would be hidden. I stuffed the pile of dirty clothes that I had moved to my kitchen earlier that day in the oven as I heard the doorbell ring.

The next night I preheated the oven to make dinner, and completely forgot that I had hidden the clothes in there! Needless to say, we ended up eating out that night and I also ended up with a few new outfits!

How funny! I wonder what burning clothes smell like? On top of the new outfits, you probably had to air out your house as well!

I have stashed a dirty baking sheet back in the oven and forgotten about it until the smell of burning food reminded me it was in there....but clothes?! I can't say I have heard that one before.
