Organization TipAre you organized for your summer travel plans? If not, now is the time to start working toward that goal. Start with your trip plan, then start planning what to pack, and don't forget about keeping everyone enetertained with some travel game ideas.Happy travels this summer! Money Saving TipWith summer rapidly approaching it means kids will be getting out of school and schedules will be changing. If you work outside the home and need child care, this can mean a significant increase in child care costs. To reduce or possibly even eliminate that strain, why not ask your boss if you can change your work hours? If yours is a two-parent household with both parents working. Find out if one of you can start earlier and get out earlier while the other starts later and gets out later. This could reduce your child care by a few hours per day or more. If yours is a single-parent household join forces with a friend or neighbor who also works to see if you can arrange your schedules to save on child care for both households. When I worked full-time outside the home I had close to a one hour commute to work each way. My work hours were the typical 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., but my son's school bus didn't come until 8:20, which did not leave me enough time to get to work by 9:00. My husband started work at 7:00 a.m. and we didn't want to have to pay for before school care. Nervously, I decided to approach my boss about changing my hours to 9:30 to 5:30. Much to my surprise, not only did he agree to it, but he insisted that rather than commit to working until 5:30 every day, I just use the honor system. If I got to work at 9:10, I stayed until 5:10. It worked out perfectly! You never know what could happen if you don't give it a try. RecipeIf you are looking for a barbecue recipe to enjoy as the weather heats up, here is one of my absolute favorites! Moist Mustard Chicken. When I first saw this recipe, I thought it sounded a bit odd...chicken breasts slathered in mayonnaise and then cooked on the grill did not sound very appetizing to me. Nevertheless I decided to give it a try and I am so glad that I did. The mayonnaise really keeps the chicken more moist than any other grilled chicken recipe I have tried. The mustard and rosemary bring a burst of flavor and, unlike what it seems, this is actually a light, refreshing meal. Perfect for the hot weather.
